[Mobile Cellphone Info] Panasonic HX

Mobile Cellphone Info has posted a new item, 'Panasonic HX'

Of all the pocket camcorders we reviewed, we took some of the best quality
high-definition video and still images with the Panasonic HX-WA03 HD camcorder.
We were able to upload our videos and photos to social media sites easily using
the HD Writer VE 3.0 software included with the HX-WA03. Another reason why it
was so simple is that this pocket camcorder is compatible with both PCs and
Macs.
We have come to expect outstanding video quality from Panasonic camcorders, and
the HX-WA03 handheld camcorder doesn't disappoint. You can record in full HD
with a pixel density of 1920 x 1080, and it features a 120x digital zoom and 5x
optical zoom. These and many other reasons are why we give this pocket video
camera our TopTenREVIEWS Silver Award.

In addition to full HD video, the Panasonic HX-WA03 can record in 1080/60i,
1080/30p, 720/60p, 720/30p, iFrame (960 x 540)/30p and VGA/30p. Another feature
that we think is neat is the High-Quality Image Engine. This element allows you
to shoot video with a maximum 18x Intelligent Zoom. The image stabilizer enables
you to zoom without blurring the image, which means that your movies will be a
pleasure to watch. The fact that this handheld camcorder has both an optical and
a digital zoom is also a plus. It's rare to find such a small video camera with
both zoom options.
The HX-WA03 has the second best image resolution of all the handheld camcorders
we reviewed. Many pocket camcorders won't allow you to take pictures with a
resolution above 9MP, but with this one, you can take stunning 16MP still
photos. If you want to take a photo while you're recording video, you're able to
capture 2MP still images. While this may not seem impressive, remember that most
camcorders don't even have the ability to take photos while recording video.

The HX-WA03's integrated memory isn't very impressive. Its 65MB of internal
memory won't enable you to save many photos and isn't enough space to record
even 10 minutes of video. On the bright side, you can insert an SD/SDHC/SDXC
memory card into the camcorder and expand your memory up to 64GB. With a memory
card that big, you can record hours of video and save thousands of images
without having to empty your memory card.

When it comes to battery life, most pocket camcorders don't last more than a
couple of hours. The Panasonic HD camcorder isn't any different. You'll only be
able to record about two hours of HD video before you need to recharge the
battery. If you record in a lower-quality format, such as VGA, the battery will
last quite a bit longer. If you use the camcorder to take still photos, the
battery will last even longer. This handheld camcorder requires a lithium-ion
battery, so you can't just pop into your local grocery store to buy a
replacement if the battery dies. If you're concerned about the battery dying
while you're filming the world's greatest snowboarding tricks, for example, you
always have the option to purchase a backup lithium-ion battery.
What's more, you can only charge the battery with a computer through the USB
port. Other camcorders have a built-in USB arm that allows you to plug your
camera into a household outlet or even a car charger, but that isn't the case
with the HX-WA03.
This pocket camcorder features an HMDI port that connects the camcorder to an HD
TV, where you can watch videos in all of their high-definition glory. The HDMI
cord is not included, but you can pick one up at a local electronics store for
less than $20 in most cases.
The HX-WA03 HD camcorder is waterproof to a depth of 5 meters (16 feet), so it's
perfect for snorkeling and other water sports. It's also great for those
rainy-day soccer games. When shooting in Underwater Mode, the camcorder
automatically compensates for the way colors look underwater, giving you a
crystal clear image. The pistol grip design makes it simple to hold the camera
in any situation, but especially in water. We felt like we always had a good
grip on the camcorder no matter what environment we were filming.

Panasonic's customer service isn't that bad, but it isn't great either. The
representatives we spoke with were always helpful, but sometimes we had to be
extremely detailed when we asked questions so that they could understand us.

All of its features make the Panasonic HX-WA03 an ideal choice for both
vacationing and everyday use. While many people use their smartphones nowadays
to record video and take photos, we're pretty sure that they wouldn't continue
working after being submersed in 16 feet of water. Snag this handheld camcorder
if you want high quality videos and photos and the ability to take your camera
anywhere you go.
