[Mobile Cellphone Info] Sony Waterproof

Mobile Cellphone Info has posted a new item, 'Sony Waterproof'

The Sony Waterproof Full HD Handycam Camcorder might be small, but it packs a
punch. It features an optical zoom, which is rare for a small camcorder, a
flash, full HD recording and can capture unrivaled 20MP still photos. This
pocket camcorder is our TopTenREVIEWS Gold Award winner for these reasons and
many more.
Sony has always been a leader in the electronics world, and the company doesn't
hold back when making camcorders. This pocket-sized camcorder is chock full of
features such as the Intelligent Sweep Panorama mode and Golf Shot. It has
elements that no other camera has, but we've come to expect nothing less from
the folks at Sony.

The Sony Waterproof Full HD Camcorder can record video at a resolution of 1920 x
1080 pixels with crisp clarity. It does well shooting in low light. This small
video camera features an Exmor R CMOS sensor that is backlit to give the camera
low-light sensitivity. Sony has also included a flash. Not an LED light like so
many pocket camcorders, but an actual flash. You'll only use this when taking
still photos, but the CMOS sensor will help illuminate your videos.
Many of the other pocket camcorders we reviewed don't have an optical zoom, but
the Sony Waterproof Full HD Camcorder does. Not only does it have a 10x optical
zoom, but it also has a 120x digital zoom. Sony has also added a 17x Extended
Zoom that works together with the optical zoom. What does this mean for you?
You'll be able to see distant images in crisp, clear HD quality.
The 3-inch display makes recording and watching videos easy on the eyes,
although the LCD display is a tad difficult to see in bright light, like at the
beach. It was really difficult to see what we were trying to shoot when the sun
was particularly bright. If you want to view your videos on a larger, HD screen,
you can use the HDMI port to connect the devices. There is also a USB port to
connect your small camcorder to your laptop, PC or Mac with ease. The Sony
Waterproof Full HD Camcorder includes PlayMemories Home software. It's simple to
use and helps you easily manage your videos and photos.

This pocket camcorder's large amount of integrated memory was unexpected. The
Waterproof Full HD Camcorder features 16GB of integrated memory, or about four
hours of HD footage, which is more on-board memory than any other mini camcorder
we reviewed. You can expand the memory with a 64GB MicroSD card. The camcorder
saves videos as MP4 files, which a huge convenience for iPod owners. You don't
have to waste time changing the format to view your videos on Apple products
with this camcorder.

What was most surprising to us is the Underwater Mode. This camcorder is
waterproof down to 16 feet. It balances the tones when you film underwater,
which made our video look much more lifelike than we had anticipated. It's also
shock proof up to 5 feet and dirt resistant. If you do get some sand in the
nooks and crannies, you can simply dip the camcorder in some water to rinse it
off.
We like the SteadyShot image stabilization. It really reduced blur in our action
shots. When in HD Sports mode, the camcorder shot in 720p at 60fps, so we
experienced less blur when an object was moving around really fast in the shot.
Another feature we enjoyed during filming was the ability to capture a photo
without stopping the video recording. You simply press the photo button the side
of the Waterproof Full HD Camcorder to take a picture without interrupting
recording.
Sony has made it easy to create panoramic photos with this Handycam. Using the
Intelligent Sweep Panorama mode, we were able to press and hold the shutter
while panning a lovely view of the mountains. This mode captured an impressive
image with incredible detail. Another neat feature is what Sony calls the Golf
Shot. With this activated, we were able to capture a couple seconds of our
subject in motion. We took about 20 consecutive images. Just imagine how
convenient that feature would be if you were recording a skateboarding trick or
the winning goal at a soccer game. It's almost like a play-by-play set of
photos.

Sony has a great website with multiple help features. Its customer support team
is well educated about Sony's products and will answer your questions quickly
through live chat, over the phone or by email. The website has an impressive
support section with FAQs, troubleshooting, video tutorials and more.

Sony generally seems to understand what consumers want in a camcorder. It has
the size right, and has made its pocket camcorders durable and easy to use,
while also engineering a device that produces high quality video and photos.
Though you can't purchase this camcorder online anymore, it can still be found
in stores where Sony products are sold. If you plan to take this small camcorder
on a quick trip to the outdoors, you'll enjoy the waterproof, shock-proof and
dust-proof features. These factors make the Sony Waterproof Full HD Camcorder
the best handheld camcorder on the market.
