[US Jobs Vacancies] Special Sites Advocate with RSPB Cymru

US Jobs Vacancies has posted a new item, 'Special Sites Advocate with RSPB
Cymru'

Special
Sites Advocate

25,000 to 27,000 Cardiff

Are you a powerful and engaging communicator, verbally and in
writing, with the ability to persuade and inspire diverse audiences
about nature? Can you find and assimilate information from disparate
sources, and organise yourself and this knowledge to produce clear,
concise copy to deadlines?

In this role, you will build support for RSPB Cymru's conservation
priorities, by communicating and raising the level of understanding of
our work on designated sites and what it achieves for wildlife
conservation as well as the wider benefits for communities and
ecosystems. In particular you will manage the delivery of our
communications around priority designated sites, connecting people with
our conservation delivery programme.

You will need strong written and verbal communication skills and
experience of advocating to public, political and technical audiences,
as well as proven experience of leading and managing multidisciplinary
teams, including conservation practitioners, media relations and public
affairs professionals.

You will be practically minded, with proven project management
skills, and able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the relevance
of effective implementation of nature legislation to the challenges
facing threatened wildlife across the UK and Europe.

You'll know that nature is amazing - and you'll want to help us keep
it that way

Closing date: 16 May 2013

Interview date: 7 June 2013
